Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship

Award Amount: $10,000

The Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors.

You must have been active in promoting vegetarianism in your school and / or community; and have demonstrated compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle to be considered for this award.

Paradigm Challenge

Available to: Maximum Age 18 Years

Award Amount: $100,000

Sponsored by Project Paradigm, the Paradigm Challenge is available to students up to the age of 18.

You may work in a team or alone in creating an original and creative way to generate new ideas in preventing injuries and fatalities from home fires—America’s #1 disaster threat.

Entries may come in the form of posters, videos, inventions, messages, community events, websites, mobile apps, or anything else that will help save lives.

Additionally, you must submit a brief statement of your idea (140 characters or less) in order to qualify for this award.

American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest


Deadline: Varies

Amount: $18,000

Ages: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors

The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States.

You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government.

A complete list of topics are available on the Legion's Web site. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship.

Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship

Amount: $10,000

Ages: Ages 15 and Older

The Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship is open to students who are at least 15 years of age who are studying at an accredited dance school, studio, university or other institution.

You must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate talent, technical skill and dance expression to be considered for this award.

You must be nominated by your school in order to qualify for this award.

Ventures Scholars Program

Ages: High School Freshmen to College Freshmen

The Ventures Scholars Program is open to underrepresented and first-generation college-bound students.

You must be pursuing a math- or science-based career to be considered for this award.

FIDM National Scholarship Competition

Available to: High School Senior through College Freshmen

Award Amount: 100% of Tuition

The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) Scholarship Competition is open to all U.S high school seniors and graduates who would like to attend FIDM.

To be considered, you must submit a project in one of the following categories: Fashion Executive of Tomorrow, Interior, Designer of Tomorrow, Graphic Designer of Tomorrow, Fashion Designer of Tomorrow, Visual Designer of Tomorrow, and Digital Media Artist of Tomorrow.

Projects are judged on creativity, thoughtfulness and promise.

Outstanding Scholar Award – Cornerstone University

The Outstanding Scholar Award is available to entering freshmen and transfer students at Cornerstone University.

You must be a National Merit Finalist to be considered for this award.

Razor's Edge Scholarship

Available to: High School Senior through College Freshmen

Award Amount: $10,000

The Razor's Edge Scholarship is open to high school seniors who plan to enroll in Nova Southeastern University for the upcoming fall semester.

You must display experience of substantial leadership and have a minimum high school GPA of 2.0 to be eligible for this award.

Chicagoland Regional College Program

Available to: Students Ages 17 or Older

Award Amount: $10,000

The Chicagoland Regional College Program is open to students who are at least 17 years of age and attending, or planning to attend: Chicago State University, Governors State University, Moraine Valley Community College, Morton College, Olive Harvey College, Prairie State College, or Richard J. Daley College.

To be considered, you must be willing to work part - time as a package handler at the UPS Hodgkins, IL. facility.

The hours are Monday through Friday from 4:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. or 10:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.

In addition to a $6200 annual UPS salary, program participants will also receive a $2000 allowance for school fees, $300 for books, and $100 per month for transportation.

Veterans will also receive a $300 - $500 monthly bonus.

Multicultural Advancement Award of Distinction Scholarship

Available to: Entering College Freshmen (Maximum Age 18 Years)

Award Amount: $10,500

The Multicultural Advancement Award of Distinction Scholarship is open to deserving entering freshmen at Central Michigan University.

You must be a minority student to be eligible for this renewable award.

R.C. McQuilkin Leadership Scholarship

Available to: High School Seniors through College Freshmen

Award Amount: 100% of Tuition

The R.C. McQuilkin Leadership Scholarship is available to entering freshmen at Columbia International University.

You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and an SAT score (math and verbal) of 1000 or a minimum ACT score of 22 to be eligible for this award.

You must also participate in Scholarship Weekend at CIU.

Jalen Rose Endowed Scholarship

The Jalen Rose Endowed Scholarship is open to entering freshmen students at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Preference is given to students who are Michigan residents, and/or from an inner-city area, and/or from an underrepresented group.

You must demonstrate financial need and academic merit to be eligible for this renewable award.
