10 Scholarships You Can Apply for Today

Below, find ten amazing scholarships, for all types of students, which also span age range qualifications from high school freshmen all the way through each year of graduate school.

This is scholarships at their simplest, which we also happen to think is at their finest. Because when scholarships are simplified, it makes everything a whole lot easier, don’t you agree?

Apply for one or however many of the below scholarships you qualify for! Remember, the more you apply for, the better your odds are of winning a scholarship.

To help better organize your scholarship search, please note that the following silly scholarships are listed according to deadline, with the earliest deadline appearing at the top of the page. Deadlines that vary will appear at the bottom of the list. As deadlines pass, opportunities will be refreshed as often as possible.

1. DeVry University Scholarship and Grant for Bachelor’s Degrees


Deadline: 8/29/16

Available to: Ages 13+

Award Amount: $25,000

Earning a college degree takes a lot of determination and effort. At DeVry University, we’re committed to recognizing your achievements and rewarding your hard work – from day one to graduation day. Introducing the DeVry University Scholarship and Grant, created on the belief that every DeVry student deserves help getting started and motivation to keep going strong. With this tiered award program, as your DeVry GPA grows, so does your scholarship. All new degree-seeking undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.0 or above are eligible. The higher the cumulative grade point average (CGPA), the larger the award amount may be. Per semester, a student with full time enrollment could earn $1,000 with a 2.0 GPA and up to $2,500 with a 3.25 GPA or higher. Not every university does this, but we aren’t every university. Be recognized for your performance and rewarded for your persistence with the DeVry University Scholarship and Grant.

2. Clubs of America Scholarship Award


Deadline: 8/31/16

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $1,000

The Clubs of America Scholarship Award is available to currently enrolled students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. You must submit an essay of at least 600 words about your career aspirations and how your current course load will help you achieve success. YouTube video submissions are also accepted and should be no longer than five minutes.

3. Staples for Students Sweepstakes


Deadline: 9/10/16

Available to: Ages 13+

Award Amount: $50,000

The Staples for Students Sweepstakes is open to students who are at least 13 years of age and who are residents of the U.S. In order to be considered for this award, you must visit a participating Staples location and make a purchase of at least $25 to receive a unique code which will serve as your entry into the sweepstakes. If you do not wish to make a purchase in order to generate an entry, you may also enter the sweepstakes by visiting the sponsor's website and obtaining a unique entry code there.

4. "Hit The Books" Scholarship


Deadline: 9/30/16

Available to: Ages 18-25

Award Amount: $500

The "Hit The Books" Scholarship is available to students between the ages of 18 and 25.

To be considered, you must submit a maximum 500-word essay on the importance of education in your life and how the scholarship money will assist you in achieving your goals.

Bonus points will be awarded to students who find a creative way to include their passion for coffee within their essay without losing sight of the primary topic.

5. Keynote Scholarship


Deadline: 12/02/16

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $10,000

The Keynote Scholarship is available to high school senior, undergraduate, and graduate students with definite plans to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this award.

6. Digital Marketing Scholarship


Deadline: 12/31/16

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $2,000

The Digital Marketing Scholarship is available to students enrolled at an accredited college or university. You must be studying marketing, commerce, business or IT and submit an essay of 500 words or less to qualify for this award.

7. Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest


Deadline: 4/28/17

Available to: High School Seniors through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $20,000

The Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, college undergraduates and graduate students. You must submit an essay of between 800 and 1600 words on a topic related to Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. The three topic choices are listed on the sponsor's website and essays will be judged on style and content.

Available to: All Fastweb Members

9. CKSF Scholarship Competition


Deadline: Varies

Available to: High School Seniors through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $2,500

The CKSF Scholarships are available to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the U.S.
You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes that test your knowledge of topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies.

You will be scored based on a combination of time and accuracy.

Students with the highest scores at the end of each competition win.

10. Optimist International Oratorical Contest


Deadline: Varies

Available To: Maximum Age 18 Years

Award Amount: $2,500

The Optimist International Oratorical Contest is open to students under the age of 19.

To be considered for this award, you must prepare a 4 to 5 minute speech on the topic, "How My Passions Impact the World" to be presented at your local Optimist Club's contest.
