Saying goodbye to summer isn’t easy. We get that you want to soak up the last days of sun, fun and enjoy the remainder of your summer – who wouldn’t?
Alas, summer is ending and your scholarship search must continue! But, this list of scholarships can allow you to stay on track with your scholarship search, while relishing your last weeks of summer break.
How is this possible, you ask? All of the scholarships on this list have quick and easy applications and, those that have essays are short and sweet. Once you apply, all you have left to do is figure out what to do with all that free time to fill your last days of the season.
By doing so, you’ll really be able to say you accomplished it all this summer: conquering your scholarship applications and taking time to smell the roses.
Before hitting the books this fall, sneak in some time and apply to as many of the following scholarships as possible! These scholarships have deadlines that'll take you to the end of summer...and beyond!
“From Failure to Promise” Essay Contest
Deadline: 7/31/16
Available to: High School Seniors through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $10,000
The "From Failure to Promise" Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students who hold at least a 2.5 GPA.
To be considered, you must submit an essay of at least 1500 words that addresses the following three topics: Which tracks of the book "From Failure to Promise - 360 degrees" presented or reiterated the most important life lessons for you and why, which factor was the most vital to the author's evolution in going from "flunk-out" to "professor" and how does the "Seven Spheres of Influence and Integration Model" affect your worldview as related to civic responsibility.

$5,000 Course Hero Summer Scholarship
Deadline: 8/15/16
Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $5,000
Course Hero will post one question online each month and allow registered, eligible entrants up to 120 words to submit a response. Each month, Course Hero will select one winner with the best response from among all Contest entrants. Each month’s Contest winner will receive either a $3,000, $4,000, or $5,000 Scholarship, depending on such winner’s eligibility category.

$1,000 Summer Scholarship

Available to: High School Freshmen through College Seniors
Award Amount: $5,000

$1,000 Summer Scholarship

Award Amount: $50,000
The Staples for Students Sweepstakes is open to students who are at least 13 years of age and who are residents of the U.S.
In order to be considered for this award, you must visit a participating Staples location and make a purchase of at least $25 to receive a unique code which will serve as your entry into the sweepstakes. If you do not wish to make a purchase in order to generate an entry, you may also enter the sweepstakes by visiting the sponsor's website and obtaining a unique entry code there.

The Don't Text and Drive Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate or graduate students. You must be U.S. citizen or legal resident and complete a short statement on why you pledge not to text and drive in order to qualify for this award.

U.S. Bank Financial Genius Scholarship
Deadline: 9/30/16
Available to: College Freshmen through College Seniors
Award Amount: $20,000

NASCAR Diversity Scholarship

Available to: Ages 18-25
Award Amount: $10,000
The NASCAR Diversity Scholarship is open to students between the ages of 18 and 25. You must submit a 90 second video that demonstrates one technology used in NASCAR, an issue it resolved and how STEM professionals designed it in order to be considered for this award.

Young Patriots Essay Contest
Deadline: 1/03/17
Available to: Ages 18-25
Award Amount: 3 Awards of $5,000
The Young Patriots Essay Contest is open to high school students. To be considered, you must submit an essay on the following topic: "Are international free trade agreements in the best interest of the United States? Why or why not?"

CKSF Scholarship Competition
Deadline: Varies
Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $2,500
The CKSF Scholarships are available to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the U.S.
You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes that test your knowledge of topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies.
You will be scored based on a combination of time and accuracy.
Students with the highest scores at the end of each competition win.
