Available to: High School Senior through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $1,500

The Respshop.com Scholarship is available to undergraduates, graduate students, and high school students who plan to attend college within the following seven months.

You must have a minimum 2.0 GPA and submit a 500-700 word essay about snoring, sleep apnea, sleep disorders, or CPAP therapy.

You may steer your essay in any direction you like, but you should relate sleep disorders or CPAP therapy to your personal life or to your community.

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship

Available to: High School Seniors through College Freshmen

Award Amount: $10,000

The Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors.

You must have been active in promoting vegetarianism in your school and / or community; and have demonstrated compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle to be considered for this award.

Buick Achievers Scholarship

Available to: Entering College Freshmen through College Seniors

Award Amount: 50 Awards of $25,000

The Buick Achievers Scholarship is available to full - time entering freshmen and current undergraduate students.

You must be majoring in a specified course of study that focuses on engineering, technology, design, or another program of study related to the automotive industry to be eligible for this award.

Special consideration will be given to those who are a first-generation college student, female, minority, military veteran, or a dependent of military personnel.

Hood Milk Sportsmanship Scholarship


Deadline: 3/11/16

Available to: High School Seniors through College Freshmen

Award Amount: 18 Awards of $5,000

The Hood Milk Sportsmanship Scholarship program rewards 18 deserving high school student athletes across New England with $5,000 toward furthering their education at a 2- or 4-year accredited college or university.

To be eligible, high school seniors must have proven their ability to put the spirit of competition above winning while participating in a varsity sport. These students must have also earned a cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher and performed volunteer work in the community.
Applicants are asked to write a short essay explaining how they display sportsmanship and integrity on and off the field. Each student who meets these standards and completes the essay will then participate in an online voting competition.

The 10 applicants, from each New England state, who have received the most votes will be interviewed by a select panel of judges. The panel of judges will then select three students from each of the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont) for a total of 18 scholarships.

Winners will be honored at an awards ceremony and inducted into the Hood Milk Sportsmanship Scholarship Hall of Fame at the TD Garden in Boston.

Applicants must enter online at Hood.com by 3 PM EDT on March 11, 2016. Voting will take place on Hood.com from April 1, 2016, at 9 AM EDT, through April 22, 2016, a 3PM EDT. Good luck!

Hoover Uncommon Student Award


Deadline: 3/15/16

Available to: High School Juniors

Award Amount: 15 Awards of $5,000

Sponsored by the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library Association, the Hoover Uncommon Student Award is open to high school juniors in Iowa who are planning to pursue a two - or four - year degree at an accredited college or university.

The program seeks to identify and recognize uncommon students who might not fit the requirements of other scholarships.

You must demonstrate problem solving, organizational, and leadership skills in a project of your own choosing and design to be considered for this award.

Grades, test scores, and financial need are not considered in selection.
