Snag Scholarships & Internships on Black Friday & Cyber Monday

The holidays have arrived earlier than ever this season (at least it feels that way). No matter which holiday you observe, one type of “holiday” seems to be shared by everyone – deals and steals.

Black Friday. Cyber Monday. Everyone wants in on the action, whether it's waiting in line at a store to snag the latest tech or surfing the web for sales from the comfort of your couch.

Yep - everyone wants the steals and deals offered on Black Friday and, of course, Cyber Monday, too. But, are you aware of the Black Friday deals and savings that won’t cost you a dime?

In addition to deals, plenty of retailers offer scholarships, giving away thousands of awards to high school, college and graduate students!

Award Amount: 100% of Tuition

Provided by Cards Against Humanity, the Science Ambassador Scholarship is open to women who are seeking an undergraduate degree in a STEM field.

You must submit a video of yourself explaining a topic in science that you are passionate about in order to be considered for this award.

Ideal candidates will be ambassadors for their field that are passionate about their discoveries and who will share their excitement with others.

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $4,000

Provided by the Wal-Mart Foundation, the Wal-Mart Associate Scholarship is available to students employed with any division of Wal-Mart.

You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to be eligible for this award.

Selection for this award is based on financial need, academic record, ACT / SAT scores, and school involvement.

Two Ten Foundation Footwear Design Scholarship

Available to: College Freshman through College Seniors

Award Amount: $3,000

The Two Ten Design Footwear Scholarship is offered to students interested in pursuing a career in footwear design.

Undergraduate and graduate students studying design with a focus on footwear in the U.S. or abroad are invited to apply.

Awards are based on design potential, academic record and financial need.

All applicants are required to submit a design portfolio, must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, and be enrolled in a recognized design program and furnish program verification.

Available to: High School Freshman through Entering College Freshman

Award Amount: 5 Awards between $5,000 - $30,000

Provided by Google, Inc., the Doodle 4 Google Contest is open to students in grades K through 12 who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

To be considered, you must design and submit a Google doodle logo based around the theme “What makes me…me” and submit a supporting statement of 50 words or less.

Provided by The Proctor & Gamble Company, the Secret Mean Stinks Scholarship is open to students who are at least 17 years of age and are residents of the United States.

Award Amount: 20 awards of $20,000

The Foot Locker Scholar Athletes program honors student athletes who demonstrate excellence in school, on their sports teams, and in their communities.

Whether you are the fastest on the team or the most supportive player, we want to hear how sports helped you grow into a strong leader at school and in your community.

The scholarship is open to students entering college in the Fall of 2015 as a freshman at a four-year school for an undergraduate degree. Applicants must be involved in high school, intramural or community-based sports and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
