If you’re a social media savvy student, there are plenty of scholarships you can easily apply for!

Scholarship providers often add social media components to scholarships, which is right up your alley.

The cool thing about these awards is that entries can vary from tweets and short-essays to creating and sharing videos and photos on your social media accounts.

Whatever your preference, there’s probably a scholarship to suit your social media skills!

Check out the following scholarships, which all have social media-related components:

"Dance Your Ph.D." Contest

Deadline:10/28/15

Available to: Graduate Students, Year 1 through Year 5

Award Amount: Varies

The "Dance Your Ph.D." Contest is open to students pursuing, or have received, a Ph.D. in a science-related field.

To enter, you must perform a dance that describes your Ph.D. thesis and submit a video of the dance on YouTube.

The grand prize winner will also receive a free trip to Stanford University for a screening of their Ph.D. dance video.

Arizona Milk Producers Scholarship

Deadline:11/09/15

Available to: High School Seniors through College Seniors

Award Amount: 3 Awards of $12,000

Sponsored by the Dairy Council of Arizona, the Arizona Milk Producers Scholarship is available to Arizona residents.

You must be enrolled or plan to enroll in an Arizona university as a full-time student for the 2016 fall term to qualify for this award.

Snap a photo of your best milk mustache, the more creative the better!

Other people should not be in the photo.

Make sure a dairy product is clearly visible in the photo.

Upload your photo to Instagram and tag @azmilkproducers using the hashtag #ampscholarshipcontest and #ASU, #NAU or #UofA.

Youth Noise Scholarship Program

Deadline:11/21/15

Available to: High School Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $1,000

The Youth Noise Scholarship Program is available to students enrolled at an accredited high school, college, university or trade school.

You must submit a video no longer than 5 minutes on YouTube in which you explain how new ideas will shape the world around us, and why education is the key to creating a brighter future.

Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest

Deadline: 11/30/15

Available to: High School Seniors through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $500

The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest is available to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a college or university.

You must create a public service advertisement video (PSA) which raises awareness of the severity of the consequences of drunk driving among your peers to qualify for this award.

The video must be uploaded to YouTube and be no longer than three minutes long.

#FortOnFleek Challenge

Deadline:12/01/15

Available to: High School Freshman through College Senior

Award Amount: $1,000

The #FortOnFleek Challenge is open to high school and college students.

To be considered, you must build a fort out of sheets and blankets, then tag DormBedding in a photo or video on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag "#FortOnFleek."

You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Look Twice, Save A Life Scholarship

Deadline: 12/01/15

Available to: High School Seniors through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $1,000

The Look Twice, Save A Life Scholarship is available to students currently attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university.

You must create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on Looking Twice for Motorcycle Safety to qualify for this award.

This can be a video, artwork, essay or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving.

Student must have a valid driver’s license.

“Start With Trust” Video Contest

Deadline:12/18/15

Available to: High School Freshman through High School Seniors

Award Amount: 8 Awards of $500

The "Start With Trust" Video Contest is open to high school students residing in Nebraska, South Dakota, The Kansas Plains, and Southwest Iowa.

To enter, you must create a one-minute video based on BBB's tagline: "Start With Trust."

Judging will be based on the following criteria: communication of the theme, creativity, production, and number of YouTube views.

Students may enter as individuals or as a group of two to four students.

MarvelOptics.com Scholarship Essay Contest

Deadline:1/05/16

Available to: College Freshman through College Seniors

Award Amount: $3,000

The MarvelOptics.com Scholarship Essay Contest is available to full-time students enrolled at an accredited four-year university or college.

You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and submit a 500-word essay on the following topics: "Why is sight/vision important?" and describe what the following quote means to you: "Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground.”

You may also choose to post a one-minute video to YouTube discussing the topics above.
