Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship

Available to: High School Sophomores through High School Juniors

Award Amount: $2,000

Provided by the Positive Coaching Alliance, the Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship is available to high school juniors playing for a high school team or in club sports.

You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and submit an essay explaining how you meet the standards of making yourself better, making your teammates better and how you make the game better in order to qualify for this award.

Niche $2,000 No Essay Scholarship

Available to: High School Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $2,000

We know you are busy and we know that times are tough.

That is why we decided to create the easiest possible scholarship to give something back to students.

Students can use the money to help cover tuition, housing, meal plans, books, computers, or any education-related expenses.

Duck Tape “Stuck at Prom” Contest

Available to: Ages 14-18

Award Amount: $10,000

The Duck® brand Stuck at Prom® Scholarship Contest challenges high school students to create DIY prom attire using Duck Tape® for a chance to win scholarship cash.

Over $50,000 is awarded each year, with the Grand Prize couple earning $10,000 each.

Donna Foss Independence Day Essay Scholarship Contest


Deadline: 7/05/15

Available to: High School Students

Award Amount: $5,000

The Donna Foss Independence Day Essay Scholarship Contest is available to U.S. citizen high school students.

You must write an essay of between 1,500 and 2,000 words on the theme "A Proud American, What It Means To Me" to be eligible for this award.

Three winners will receive $5,000, $2,500, and $1,000 scholarships to the accredited U.S. college or university of their choices.

"A Voice for Animals" Contest


Deadline: 8/15/15

Available to: Students Ages 14-18

Award Amount: $750

Sponsored by the Humane Education Network, the "A Voice for Animals" Contest is open to high school and home schooled students.

To be considered, 14 to 15 year old students must submit an essay which addresses the mistreatment of one animal species, one cause of animal suffering, or the preservation of one species threatened with extinction; occurring anywhere in the world.

Students who are aged 16 to 18 must take an active involvement in a project which strives to mitigate the suffering of animals.

Student Transportation Video Contest


Deadline: 8/31/15

Available to: High School Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $500

Provided by the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, the Student Transportation Video Contest is open to all students.

To enter, you must submit a two- to four-minute video that examines any aspect of transportation in the United States.

Siemens Competition


Deadline: 9/22/15

Available to: High School Freshman through College Freshman

Award Amount: $100,000

Provided by the Siemens Foundation, the Siemens Competition is open to high school students. Students are encouraged to do research in mathematics, engineering, biological, or physical science.

Students, working individually or on a team of two or three, will have the opportunity to present their research to leading scientists in their field.

Three hundred projects are recognized as semifinalists.

Regional finalists are awarded a trip to compete at one of six regional competitions.

At the regional event, students will present a Powerpoint presentation and digital poster and participate in a question and answer session.

Individuals submitting projects must be seniors at the time of the deadline; team applicants may be freshman, sophomores, juniors, or seniors.

Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship


Deadline: 9/30/15

Available to: High School Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5

Award Amount: $1,500

Sponsored by Digital Responsibility, the Don't Text and Drive Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate or graduate students.

You must be U.S. citizen or legal resident and complete a short statement on why you pledge not to text and drive in order to qualify for this award.

American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest



Deadline: Varies

Amount: $18,000

Ages: High School Freshman through High School Senior

The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States.

You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government.

A complete list of topics are available on the Legion's Web site. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship.

Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship



Deadline: Varies

Amount: $10,000

Ages: Ages 15 and Older

The Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship is open to students who are at least 15 years of age who are studying at an accredited dance school, studio, university or other institution.

You must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate talent, technical skill and dance expression to be considered for this award.

You must be nominated by your school in order to qualify for this award.

Ventures Scholars Program

Amount: $10,000

Ages: High School Freshman to College Freshman

The Ventures Scholars Program is open to underrepresented and first-generation college-bound students.

You must be pursuing a math- or science-based career to be considered for this award.
