Available to: Maximum Age 25 Years

Award Amount: $5,000

DoSomething.org has 10 different ways you can use your skills to improve the lives of older adults. Rock each one to make the world suck less.

Submit a photo completing a campaign and you'll be entered to win a $5,000 scholarship.

Student Transportation Video Contest

Award Amount: $500

Provided by the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, the Student Transportation Video Contest is open to all students.

To enter, you must submit a two- to four-minute video that examines any aspect of transportation in the United States.

Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship


Deadline: 9/30/15

Available to: High School Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5

Award Amount: $1,500

Sponsored by Digital Responsibility, the Don't Text and Drive Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate or graduate students.

You must be U.S. citizen or legal resident and complete a short statement on why you pledge not to text and drive in order to qualify for this award.

American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest



Deadline: Varies

Amount: $18,000

Ages: High School Freshman through High School Senior

The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States.

You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government.

A complete list of topics are available on the Legion's Web site. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship.

Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship



Deadline: Varies

Amount: $10,000

Ages: Ages 15 and Older

The Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship is open to students who are at least 15 years of age who are studying at an accredited dance school, studio, university or other institution.

You must be a U.S. citizen and demonstrate talent, technical skill and dance expression to be considered for this award.

You must be nominated by your school in order to qualify for this award.

Ventures Scholars Program

Amount: $10,000

Ages: High School Freshman to College Freshman

The Ventures Scholars Program is open to underrepresented and first-generation college-bound students.

You must be pursuing a math- or science-based career to be considered for this award.
