This Mother’s Day, why not do something nice for mom and apply for a scholarship?

We know that Mother’s Day is all about celebrating moms, but it’s also an opportunity to celebrate family, too.
Take time to reflect and celebrate yours! Google Global Science Fair 2015

Held each spring, this global science fair is probably the coolest of its kind. What else would you expect from Google?
The Google Global Science Fair 2015 is open to students between the ages of 13 and 18. You, or your team of two or three, must create either a two-minute video or 20-slide presentation giving an overview of your project and embed it on the Summary page of your project submission.
You may submit projects in any one of the following categories: Computer Science & Math, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Behavioral & Social Sciences, Flora & Fauna, Energy & Space, Inventions & Innovation, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science or Electricity & Electronics. A video or presentation is required to enter.

"Design-A-Sign" Scholarship Contest
Deadline: 5/29/15
Available to: High School Freshman through College Seniors
Award Amount: $1,000
The "Design-A-Sign" Scholarship Contest is open to high school and college students.
To enter, you must submit a banner design that expresses your future dreams and goals you hope to achieve through higher education.
The winner is decided by online public voting.

$10,000 Comeback Clothes Scholarship

Spring is often synonymous with recycling (probably because of Earth Day and the 3 R's - reduce, reuse, recycle). Take on this challenge and recycle old or worn clothing to qualify for an amazing scholarship!
The vast majority of fabric can be recycled, yet 85% of textiles made each year ends up in landfills. That’s 11.1 million tons, or the equivalent of over 70 Billion t-shirts.

Duck Tape “Stuck at Prom” Contest

Obviously, we had to include an award involving the biggest event of the spring season: prom!
The Duck Tape "Stuck at Prom" Contest is open to students age 14 years or older who are attending a high school prom in the spring of 2015. You must be a legal resident of the United States or Canada, including the District of Columbia, but excluding Puerto Rico and the Province of Quebec.
You must enter as a couple (two individuals) and attend a high school prom wearing complete attire and/ or accessories made from duct tape. Each couple must submit a high resolution color photograph of the two of you together in prom attire.
The awards for this contest range from a first place prize of a $10,000, a 2nd place prize of $5,000, a third place prize of $3,000, and $500 to the runners up. The schools that host the proms of winning couples will also receive a cash prize.

Copyright Awareness Scholarship

Available to: Ages 13-25
Award Amount: $1,000
The Copyright Awareness Scholarship is available to students between the ages of 13 and 25.
To be considered, you must submit a 30-second to three minute video that creatively presents your viewpoint on the importance of intellectual property and copyright law.

Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship

Available to: High School Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $1,000
The Delete Cyberbullying Scholarship is available to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students.
To be considered, you must submit a maximum 500-word essay on one of the following topics: "Why is it important to work to delete cyberbullying?" or "How has cyberbullying personally affected you?"
Selection is based on the written essay and focus on commitment to the cause of deleting cyberbullying.

New Look Laser Tattoo Removal Scholarship

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5

The New Look Laser Tattoo Removal Scholarship is available to students enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university.
On a website, blog, or online forum; you must write a 200- to 400-word post that expresses your opinion of the societal impact of laser tattoo removal.
You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

The $1,000 Scholarship is available to students enrolled, or due to be enrolled, in full time university education for the semester they are applying to receive the scholarship fund.

Imagine Cup Games Competition
Deadline: 7/31/15
Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $50,000
The Imagine Cup Games Competition is available to students with an interest in video game design.
To enter the contest you, or your team, must submit a desktop or tablet game using Windows, or a mobile game using Windows Phone, or a browser game using Windows Azure.
Games can support multiple languages as long as English is represented and be no bigger than 500MB to be eligible entries.

“From Failure to Promise” Essay Contest
Award: $10,000
Deadline: July 31, 2015
Available to: High School Senior to Graduate Student, Year 5
The "From Failure to Promise" Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, undergraduate, and graduate students who hold at least a 2.5 GPA.
To be considered, you must submit an essay of at least 1500 words that addresses the following three topics: Which tracks of the book "From Failure to Promise - 360 degrees" presented or reiterated the most important life lessons for you and why, which factor was the most vital to the author's evolution in going from "flunk-out" to "professor and how does the "Seven Spheres of Influence and Integration Model" affect your worldview as related to civic responsibility.

CKSF Scholarship Competition

The CKSF Scholarships are available to high school, undergraduate and graduate students in the U.S.
You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes that test your knowledge of topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies.
You will be scored based on a combination of time and accuracy.

The Dizzy Feet Foundation Scholarship is open to students who are at least 15 years of age who are studying at an accredited dance school, studio, university or other institution.

Kansas Foster and Adoptive Children Fund

Available to: College Freshman through College Senior
The Kansas Foster and Adoptive Children Fund is available to all students who are or have been foster children, including foster children who have been adopted.
You must be pursuing or interested in pursuing education beyond high school including college, junior college, vocational, technical or other trade schools to be eligible for this award.

Foster Child Grant Program

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5
The Foster Child Grant Program is open to students who are foster children who are legal residents of Massachusetts and will be attending an eligible public, private, independent, for profit or nonprofit institution in Massachusetts.
You must be a U.S. citizen or non-eligible citizen, be placed in the custody of the Department of Social Services through a Care and Protection Petition, and not be over the age of 24.
You must also have signed a voluntary agreement with the Department of Social Services establishing terms and conditions for receiving such aid, apply for a FAFSA, and be in compliance with Selective Service Registration.
Additionally, you must not be in default of an federal or state student loans and be in good academic standing to be eligible for this award.

Alabama Scholarship for Dependents of Blind Parents

Available to: College Freshman through College Sophomore
Provided by the Alabama Commission on Higher Education, the Alabama Scholarship for Dependents of Blind Parents is open to students who are within two years of graduation from high school.
You must come from a family in which the head of the family is blind and without sufficient family income to provide educational benefits.
The award requires that you attend an Alabama state institution of higher learning and that you be an Alabama resident.

Provided by Imagine America Foundation, the Adult Skills Education Grant is available to adult students who are at least 19 years of age.
You must be a U.S. citizen, have a high school diploma, a GED or pass an Ability to Benefit test and be enrolling in a participating college to be eligible for this award.

Lifetime Adoption Foundation Scholarship

The Lifetime Adoption Foundation Scholarship is available to birth mothers who have placed a child for adoption any time after 1990.
You must be able to present verification of finalization from the adoption professional that handled the adoption.
Women that have placed a child for adoption through Lifetime Adoption Center are given priority.
In addition, you must be drug-free, have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and show proof of part- or full-time enrollment, or intention of enrollment in an accredited educational or trade institution to be eligible for this award. An essay is also required.
