Sponsored by the National Retail Federation, the Next Generation Scholarship is available to full-time undergraduate students who are pursuing a career in retail.

You must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be nominated by your school to be eligible for this award.

Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest


Deadline: 10/23/15

Available to: High School Senior through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $20,000

Provided by the Ayn Rand Institute, the Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest is open to high school seniors, college undergraduates and graduate students.

You must submit an essay of between 800 and 1,600 words on a topic related to Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

The three topic choices are listed on the sponsor's website and essays will be judged on style and content.

Cards Against Humanity’s Science Ambassador Scholarship

Available to: College Freshman through College Seniors

Award Amount: 100% of College Tuition

The Science Ambassador Scholarship is open to women who are seeking an undergraduate degree in a STEM field.

You must submit a video of yourself explaining a topic in science that you are passionate about in order to be considered for this award.
Ideal candidates will be ambassadors for their field that are passionate about their discoveries and who will share their excitement with others.

Farm and Ranch Heritage Scholarship

Available to: College Freshman through College Seniors

Award Amount: $12,500

Provided by the American Quarter Horse Foundation, the Farm and Ranch Heritage Scholarship is available to student members of the American Quarter Horse Association.

You must be a high school senior or a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or vocational school.

You must also be from a farming or ranching background and have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Excellence in Equine/Agricultural Involvement Scholarship

Available to: College Freshman through College Seniors

Award Amount: $25,000

Provided by the American Quarter Horse Foundation, the Excellence in Equine/Agricultural Involvement Scholarship is available to student members of the American Quarter Horse Association.

You must be a high school senior or a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or vocational school and demonstrate characteristics of excellence acquired through your participation in equine or agricultural activities.

You must also have at least a 3.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Keynote Scholarship

Available To: College Freshman through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $10,000

The Keynote Scholarship is available to high school senior, undergraduate, and graduate students with definite plans to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this award.

Josephine de Karman Fellowship

Available to: College Seniors

Award Amount: $22,000

The Josephine de Karman Fellowship is open to entering senior undergraduate students and Ph.D. candidates who will defend his/her dissertation by June 2017.

Applicants should have manifested exceptional ability and serious purpose.

Special consideration will be given to applicants in the humanities.

Studies must be carried out only in the United States and all funds must be expended only within this country.

D.J. Lovell Scholarship

Available to: College Freshman though Graduate Student, 5th Year

Award Amount: $11,000

The D.J. Lovell Scholarship is open to full-time undergraduate and graduate students who are studying optical science and engineering.

Fields of study may include optics, photonics, imaging, optoelectronics and other related disciplines.

You must also be a student member of SPIE (International Society for Optical Engineering) to be eligible for this award.

Chicagoland Regional College Program


Deadline: Varies

Available to: Students Ages 17 or Older

Award Amount: $10,000

The Chicagoland Regional College Program is open to students who are at least 17 years of age and attending, or planning to attend: Chicago State University, Governors State University, Moraine Valley Community College, Morton College, Olive Harvey College, Prairie State College, or Richard J. Daley College.

To be considered, you must be willing to work part - time as a package handler at the UPS Hodgkins, IL. facility.

The hours are Monday through Friday from 4:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. or 10:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.

In addition to a $6200 annual UPS salary, program participants will also receive a $2000 allowance for school fees, $300 for books, and $100 per month for transportation.

Veterans will also receive a $300 - $500 monthly bonus.

State Need Grant – Washington State

Available to: College Freshman through College Seniors

Award Amount: $10,868

Provided by the Washington Student Advancement Council, the State Need Grant is available to Washington State's lowest income undergraduate students.

To be eligible for this award, you must be a resident of Washington, have a family income of equal to or less than 70 percent of the state median, and enroll as an undergraduate student in an eligible program for a certificate, first associate's, or bachelor's degree, at a minimum of three credits, in Washington.

Students who are pursuing theology degrees are not eligible for this award.
