June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride (LGBT) Pride Month and, in support, Fastweb is working to connect students with educational opportunities that will only further equality for years to come.
Such opportunities like scholarships, grants, fellowships and internships available to the LGBTQ community are not just available to students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer, but also to students who are passionate about advocacy regarding equal rights for the LGBTQ community.
Check out the following list of LGBTQ scholarships, LGBTQ grants, LGBTQ fellowships and LGBTQ internships, all available to students that either identify as LGBTQ or are allies to the LGBTQ community.

Fastweb’s LGBTQ Scholarships
Women in Medicine Leadership Scholarship

Available to: Female Graduate Students, Year 2 through Year 4
Award Amount: 4 Awards of $5,000
The Women in Medicine Leadership Scholarship is available to female LGBTQ medical students.
You must be enrolled in an allopathic or osteopathic medical school in the U.S. or Canada to be eligible for this award.

Harry Bartel Memorial Scholarship
Award: $500

Available to: College Freshman through College Senior
The Harry Bartel Memorial Scholarship is available to gay male students who are 23 years old or younger.
You must demonstrate a record of community service to be considered for this award.

Levin-Goffe Scholarship Fund

Available to: College Freshman through College Senior
Provided by the Stonewall Community Foundation, the Levin-Goffe Scholarship Fund is available to students immigrating to New York City who identify as LGBTQI.
You must be enrolled full-time in a New York City non-profit college or university with one successfully completed academic year, have a minimum GPA of 3.25 and self-identify as an immigrant (defined as foreign-born U.S. resident) and self-identify as LGBTQI in order to qualify for this award.

Bee Winkler Weinstein Fund

Available to: College Freshman through College Senior
The Bee Winkler Weinstein Fund is available to lesbians, bisexual women, and female identified transgender individuals ages 18-25 whose own families have withdrawn emotional and/or financial support because of their sexual and/or gender identity.
This award promotes growth and self-sufficiency in young women by providing grants covering vocational/ technical training, licensing fees, college application fees and the like.
Applicants must reside within the United States to be eligible for this award.

Queer Asian & Pacific Islander Pride Scholarship

Provided by the Asian and Pacific Islander Wellness Center, the Queer Asian & Pacific Islander Pride Scholarship is open to Asian and Pacific Islander lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning students.
You must be 22 years old or younger and living in the San Francisco Bay Area to be eligible for this award.

Tyron Garner Memorial Fellowship

Available to: Graduate Student, Year 1 through Year 3
The Tyron Garner Memorial Fellowship is open to law students or recent graduates who have first-hand understanding of the issues that affect communities of color and have experience working with LGBT and HIV issues and with African-American communities.
Fellows will work with attorneys on initiatives related to these issues.
Offices are located in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas.

Pedro Zamora Public Policy Fellowship

Available to: College Freshman through Graduate Student, Year 5
Provided by AIDS Action. the Pedro Zamora Public Policy Fellowship is open to young professionals, undergraduate and graduate students who seek experience in HIV-related public policy and government affairs.
You must have strong research, writing and organizational skills and a willingness to work in a professional office. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is critical.
Familiarity with HIV-related issues and the legislative process is preferred.
People of color, women, gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals, and HIV positive individuals are encouraged to apply.

GLSEN Student Ambassador

Available to: High School Freshman through High School Seniors
Provided by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, GLSEN Student Ambassador program is open to students in grades eight through 12 who are interested in sharing their stories in all kinds of media.
Student ambassadors will have access to exclusive online training and workshops on telling your story, political advocacy, blogging, write op-eds for newspapers, create web videos, and more.
You and your work will be featured on GLSEN's website, blog, YouTube channel, and social media profiles.

LGBT and AIDS Project Internship
Deadline: Varies
Available to: Graduate Student, Year 2 through Year 3
The LGBT and AIDS Project Internship is available to students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have completed at least one year.
Intern duties may include assisting with legal intakes and tracking requests for assistance, assisting in the maintenance of case files and compiling of press files, conducting general, legal and policy research, supporting the Project in outreach to potential clients and other duties as needed.
You must demonstrate a familiarity with issues surrounding LGBT rights, HIV/AIDS and other civil liberties issues, excellent research, writing and communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills to be considered for this internship.

Fair Courts Project Internship - Lambda Legal

Available to: Graduate Student, Year 1 through Year 3
The Fair Courts Project Internship is open to law students who have experience with or an interest in legal issues relating to lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV, specifically the Fair Courts Project.
Students who have had substantial political science undergraduate coursework are also eligible to apply. Interns will assist primarily with Lambda Legal's Fair Courts Project.
This position is located in New York, New York and is unpaid.

The League Foundation
The League Foundation is a national scholarship fund that was created to provide financial resources for Americans gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth to attend college.

The National Center for Transgender Equality
The National Center for Transgender Equality is “dedicated to advancing the equality of transgender people through advocacy, collaboration and empowerment.”
They tackle various issues like discrimination, hate crimes, education and many more.
Additionally, they offer people the tools to take action to help make a difference as well.

Queer Foundation
The Queer Foundation is “dedicated to improving educational opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth.”
One such way of doing so is through their Queer Scholars Program, which provides colleges scholarships to LGBTQA high school students.

PFLAG National
Formerly known as Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, PFLAG National is the largest U.S. organization that unites lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals with parents, friends, families and straight allies to support the LGBTQ community.
PFLAG offers national scholarships but many local chapters offers scholarships as well.

eQuality Scholarship Collaborative
The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative is a volunteer-led effort, which began in 1989.
The collaborative is a sponsored project of the Gay-Straight Alliance Network and has awarded more than $700k in scholarships over the past 25 years.
