The written word is a powerful thing. And those that work to harness that power are often rewarded by scholarship providers.
There are plenty of scholarships for writers available to students, whether the interest is in journalism, stories or writing of any other type.
But, such scholarship aren't just limited to students with studies related to writing. They are also available to students who are able to communicate effectively through the written word. A true writer - a great writer - can write about absolutely anything. Even a "boring" scholarship essay is a challenge that a writer can take on to express oneself.
Scholarship providers know that writing takes talent and look to recognize such talent with awards and opportunities.
To help better organize your scholarship and internship search, please note that the following scholarships for writers are listed according to deadline, with the earliest deadline appearing at the top of the page. Deadlines that vary will appear at the bottom of each list.
