Over 60 Colleges Join 2015-2016 Common Application Network

In an effort to increase college accessibility, The Common Application has recruited 69 more colleges and universities to join in on participation.

This is great news for students applying to colleges for the 2015-2016 academic year and beyond!

The Common Application makes it much easier for students to apply by filling out one application for different college choices, rather than individualized applications, which takes much more time and effort.

Which Colleges & Universities Joined?

The more schools that join in on participation, the better. Students will be able to apply to a wider range of schools using the application resources.

According to The Common Application web site, the additional schools now using the common app cover 25 U.S. states and 5 international schools.

These numbers include 18 public institutions, 10 international institutions, and 3 HBCUs.

This will certainly increase admissions accessibility for students applying to colleges.

In 2014, for example, nearly 800,000 students utilized the application, 28 percent of which were first-generation students.
