It's not easy being green, but plenty of students still manage, treating every day as if it's Earth Day.
Did you know that a passion for going green can become a way to pay for school? It's true! Many students are rewarded for their efforts with awards.
In celebration of Earth Day, we've outlined environmental, Eco-friendly scholarships, green grants and internship opportunities for students who love the planet.
Additionally, we've provided you with Earth Day ideas that you can take on within your community to celebrate the art of going green.
According to EarthDay.org, every year more than a billion people across the globe take part in Earth Day activities. This year, the Earth Day 2015 theme is “It's Our Turn To Lead.”
Here are some ideas of what you can do to make a difference, whether locally or globally, this Earth Day:

The Gals Go Fish Scholarship is available to full-time female students who reside and attend school in Missouri or Kansas.
You must be majoring in the environmental sciences and have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Award Amount: $1,000
Amphibian Conservation Alliance is giving out seed grants all year.
Ranging from USD $500-$1,000 to help kick start projects or allow teams to try new innovative approaches to address conservation, research and educational challenges.

The San Antonio Conservation Society Foundation Scholarship is available to students enrolled in the departments or schools of architecture at the following colleges: Prairie View A&M University, Rice University, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, University of Houston, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Austin and University of Texas at San Antonio.

The Summer Wildlife Intern position is open to students who are interested in the care and treatment of injured and orphaned wildlife.

Sea Turtle Research Internship

The Sea Turtle Research Internship is available at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. You will be involved in a variety of aspects monitoring the sea turtles on the beaches around Naples.
You must be at least a college senior, with preference given to students who have earned a BA or BS, studying biological or environmental science to be eligible for this position.
Working knowledge of the care and operations of ATVs, motorboats and small engines is an asset.

Sponsored by the New England Aquarium, the Marine Mammal Education and Research Internship is available to students who have an interest in marine biology, zoology, environmental education or related fields.
