Scholarship providers often add social media components to scholarships, which is right up your alley.
The cool thing about these awards is that entries can vary from tweets and short-essays to creating and sharing videos and photos on your social media accounts.

You could win a $2,000 scholarship just by playing a choose-your-own adventure on your phone and sharing it with friends! You’ll walk in the shoes of a civil rights pioneer and learn about desegregation of American schools, all by text message. To enter for the $2,000 scholarship, just enter your phone number and three friends’ phone numbers. Unlimited entries are allowed. $2,000 Disaster Preparation Scholarship

Available to: High School Freshmen through College Seniors
Award Amount: 3 Awards of $2,000
The $2,000 Disaster Preparation Scholarship is open to current high school and college students.
You must create a video that shows how properly planning for a hurricane or other flood disaster can be a valuable tool and upload it to YouTube in order to be considered for this award.

Paradigm Challenge

Available to: Maximum Age 18 Years
Award Amount: $100,000
Sponsored by Project Paradigm, the Paradigm Challenge is available to students up to the age of 18.
You may work in a team or alone in creating an original and creative way to generate new ideas in preventing injuries and fatalities from home fires—America’s #1 disaster threat.
Entries may come in the form of posters, videos, inventions, messages, community events, websites, mobile apps, or anything else that will help save lives.
Additionally, you must submit a brief statement of your idea (140 characters or less) in order to qualify for this award.

LGMD Awareness Scholarships

Available to: Ages 17-30
Award Amount: 4 Awards of $3,000
Provided by the Jain Foundation, the LGMD Awareness Scholarships reward students for teaching others about Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophies, often referred to as LGMDs.
There are two scholarship categories, merit-based and social media based.
A total of four $3000 scholarships will be awarded in 2016. The scholarship money can be used for tuition, books, and equipment required for education courses.
Students may apply for both scholarship categories but students will be awarded at most one scholarship.

Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest

The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest is available to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a college or university.
You must create a public service advertisement video (PSA) which raises awareness of the severity of the consequences of drunk driving among your peers to qualify for this award.
The video must be uploaded to YouTube and be no longer than three minutes long.

Here’s everything you need to know: Low-income communities are hit hardest by natural disasters, making them the most vulnerable to the effects of climate change. “PLANET ZOMBIE!” is a 10 minute texting experience (like a choose-your-own adventure game, on your phone!). In PLANET ZOMBIE!, the “zombies” are the effects of climate change and the “apocalypse” is a natural disaster. You’ll learn how having limited resources puts people at greater risk during disasters. Selection is based on the written essay and focus on commitment to the cause of deleting cyberbullying.

The Internet and Education Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students at an accredited college or university.
You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and create an original infographic showing how technology enhances learning to qualify for this award.
Make sure your infographic is original and factual (and site your sources). Most importantly make your infographic engaging and as fun as possible.

Clubs of America Scholarship Award

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $1,000
The Clubs of America Scholarship Award is available to currently enrolled students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. You must submit an essay of at least 600 words about your career aspirations and how your current course load will help you achieve success. YouTube video submissions are also accepted and should be no longer than five minutes.

GLSEN Student Ambassador

Provided by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, the GLSEN Student Ambassador program is open to students in grades eight through 12 who are interested in sharing their stories in all kinds of media. Student ambassadors will have access to exclusive online training and workshops on telling your story, political advocacy, blogging, write op-eds for newspapers, create web videos, and more. You and your work will be featured on GLSEN's website, blog, YouTube channel, and social media profiles.

CKSF Scholarship Competition

The CKSF Scholarships are available to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the U.S.
You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes that test your knowledge of topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies.
You will be scored based on a combination of time and accuracy.
Students with the highest scores at the end of each competition win.
