AFSA High School Senior Scholarship Contest

The AFSA High School Senior Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors who plan to further their education at a college, university, or certified trade school. To enter, you must read the "Fire Sprinkler Essay" then take an open - book, ten - question multiple - choice test. Students will receive an entry into a drawing for each question answered correctly.

Negative Population Growth Photography Scholarship Contest

Available to: High School Seniors through College Juniors
Award Amount: $1,000
The Negative Population Growth Photography Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors. You must submit an original photo with a 40 to 50 word description, which shows a threatened environmental treasure in the U.S. that you believe is worth protecting. You must also be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this award.

Negative Population Growth Written Advertisement Scholarship Contest

Available to: High School Seniors through College Juniors
Award Amount: $2,000
The Negative Population Growth Written Advertisement Scholarship Contest is open to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors. You must create a written advertisement of between 100 and 200 words that is suitable for a magazine or a newspaper that persuades the general public to support programs that are designed to slow, halt and eventually reverse U.S. population growth. You must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident to qualify for this award.

The CARiD Scholarship is available to students enrolled at an accredited college or university. You must be between the ages of 16 and 20 and submit a photo inspired by any aspect of the automotive industry to qualify for this award. Submissions could be of your first car, custom modifications you've made, something that makes your vehicle unique, or the coolest vehicle you've ever seen.

Award Amount: $1,000
You could win an easy $1,000 school grant just by flexing your “guns” and telling your school admin to keep (real) guns out of your school. Just take a photo while flexing your arms and tag your school admin to say, “THESE are the only guns I want on my campus.” You’ll automatically enter to win a $1,000 grant! Sponsored by Project Paradigm, the Paradigm Challenge is available to students up to the age of 18.
You may work in a team or alone in creating an original and creative way to generate new ideas in preventing injuries and fatalities from home fires—America’s #1 disaster threat.
Entries may come in the form of posters, videos, inventions, messages, community events, websites, mobile apps, or anything else that will help save lives.
Additionally, you must submit a brief statement of your idea (140 characters or less) in order to qualify for this award.

Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest

Available to: High School Seniors through Graduate Student, Year 5
Award Amount: $500
The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest is available to high school seniors and students currently enrolled in a college or university. You must create a public service advertisement video (PSA) which raises awareness of the severity of the consequences of drunk driving among your peers to qualify for this award. The video must be uploaded to YouTube and be no longer than three minutes long.

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $1,000
The Internet and Education Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students at an accredited college or university.
You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and create an original infographic showing how technology enhances learning to qualify for this award.
Make sure your infographic is original and factual (and site your sources). Most importantly make your infographic engaging and as fun as possible.

CKSF Scholarship Competition

Available to: High School Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5
Award Amount: $2,500
The CKSF Scholarships are available to high school, undergraduate, and graduate students in the U.S.
You must register to participate in scholarship quizzes that test your knowledge of topics ranging from general "common knowledge" to specific academic subjects, books, websites, and even movies.
You will be scored based on a combination of time and accuracy.
Students with the highest scores at the end of each competition win.

Optimist International Oratorical Contest

Available To: Maximum Age 18 Years

The Optimist International Oratorical Contest is open to students under the age of 19.
To be considered for this award, you must prepare a 4 to 5 minute speech on the topic, "How My Passions Impact the World" to be presented at your local Optimist Club's contest.

FIDM National Scholarship Competition

Available to: High School Seniors through College Freshmen
Award Amount: 100% of Tuition
The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) Scholarship Competition is open to all U.S high school seniors and graduates who would like to attend FIDM.
To be considered, you must submit a project in one of the following categories: Fashion Executive of Tomorrow, Interior, Designer of Tomorrow, Graphic Designer of Tomorrow, Fashion Designer of Tomorrow, Visual Designer of Tomorrow, and Digital Media Artist of Tomorrow.
Projects are judged on creativity, thoughtfulness and promise.

American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest

Amount: $18,000
Ages: High School Freshmen through High School Seniors
The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States.
You must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with some emphasis on the duties and obligations of citizens to our government.
A complete list of topics are available on the Legion's Web site. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives an additional $1,500 scholarship.
