Damon Runyon Fellowship Award

Award Amount: $60,000
Sponsored by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, the Damon Runyon Fellowship Award is available to early career scientists who have completed an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DDS, or DVM degree.
You must be pursuing theoretical and experimental research relevant to the study of cancer and the search for cancer causes, mechanisms, therapies and prevention to be considered for this award.

To be considered, you must be willing to work part - time as a package handler at the UPS Hodgkins, IL. facility.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 4:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. or 10:00 P.M. to 3:00 A.M.
In addition to a $6200 annual UPS salary, program participants will also receive a $2000 allowance for school fees, $300 for books, and $100 per month for transportation.
Veterans will also receive a $300 - $500 monthly bonus.
